Medford Woman Charged With Animal Neglect After Multiple Dead Cats Found on Property

MEDFORD, Ore. — A 65-year-old woman from Medford has been charged with seven counts of first-degree animal neglect following the discovery of several dead cats on her property.

The discovery was made by Medford Police Department officers on Thursday afternoon, when they responded to a welfare check in the 1800 block of Roxy Ann Place.

Upon arrival, police officers and members of Jackson County Mental Health and the Mobile Crisis Team observed a dead cat inside the property.

A search warrant was served, and members of the Medford Police Livability Team, Code Enforcement, and Jackson County Animal Control also took part in the investigation.
