Medford In-N-Out Shooting Suspect Arrested After Victim’s Vehicle Crashes Nearby
MEDFORD, Ore. — Twenty-one-year-old Ivan Ortiz has been arrested in connection with the shooting of a 19-year-old male at the In-N-Out restaurant on Crater Lake Highway in Medford.
The shooting took place at 11.40 p.m. last Friday.
When Medford Police officers arrived on the scene, they found the injured male and three other individuals whose vehicle had crashed into a tree at a nearby parking lot.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the occupants of the vehicle had fled the scene immediately after the shooting but had then lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a tree.

Ortiz was located in the Target shopping center parking lot and taken into custody. He is facing charges of first-degree assault and the unlawful use of a weapon.
