Man Caught in Oregon Gets 15 Years for Leading Sinaloa Cartel-Linked Fentanyl Ring
Thirty-three-year-old Eduardo Mendoza, aka Casper, who was arrested in Oregon in 2024, was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison yesterday for leading a fentanyl and methamphetamine trafficking network supplied by the *Sinaloa Cartel.
According to public documents, Eduardo and his brother Francisco Mendoza, who was sentenced to 10 years in prison earlier this month, and other members of their organization, were identified after an exhaustive wiretap investigation.
The Mendoza’s Were Supplied by the Sinaloa Cartel
Investigators identified the Mendoza Drug Trafficking Organization as the operators of a distribution network in Oregon, California, and as far afield as New York. They learned that the organization was supplied by the Sinaloa Cartel from Mexico.
Eduardo Mendoza was the lead defendant in a 12-man defendant indictment charged with conspiracy to distribute fentanyl and methamphetamine.
In his plea agreement, Eduardo Mendoza admitted participating in the conspiracy from 2020 until his arrest in June 2024.
Throughout the investigation, agents repeatedly seized drugs distributed by the Mendoza Drug Trafficking Organization.
