License Free Fishing Days In Oregon After Thanksgiving

There’s good news for anyone going fishing after Thanksgiving. Friday, November 29, and Saturday, November 30, have been allocated as license-free Fishing Days by the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW). Crabs and clams are included in the license exclusion.

Free fishing means you don’t need to buy the regulation fishing license, but the other rules do still apply. The bag limits, size restrictions, and closures still apply- especially for salmon and steelhead fishing and the detailed regulations can be found here:
