Gresham Hoover Gang Member Gets More Than 8 Years After Posting AR Rifle Videos Online
GRESHAM, Ore. — A senior member of the *Hoover Gang, 32-year-old Shakor Shovontae Ray Holiday, aka “Dute Fly,” was sentenced to more than eight years in a federal prison when he appeared in the U.S. District Court in Portland on Wednesday.

The sentence was handed down after “Dute Fly”, from Gresham, posted a video of himself holding an AR rifle on social media.
Holiday was sentenced to 100 months in federal prison and three years of supervised release for being a felon in possession of a firearm.
According to court documents, the senior member of the Hoover Gang posted the incriminating video on social media on May 31, 2023. He then posted another video on social media with the same firearm on June 2, 2023.
During a search of Holiday’s residence, investigators seized two firearms, one of which was the AR rifle seen on social media.
A Second Firearm Was Connected to a Shooting in Beaverton
Although they connected the second firearm to a shooting in Beaverton the previous night, June 21, 2023, investigators were unable to establish sufficient conclusive evidence to identify Holiday as the shooter.
Holiday was indicted by a Portland grand jury on July 13, 2023, charging him with one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm. The Hoover gang member pleaded guilty to the charge on January 13, 2026.

Originating in Los Angeles in the late 1960s, the Hoovers migrated to Oregon in the early 1980s to capitalize on the city’s drug market.
