Fatal Shooting at Beaverton Apartment Complex Ends With Arrest of 21-Year-Old Man

A 21-year-old Beaverton man has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting on Monday morning at an apartment complex in Washington County.

Baltazar Rivera-Brito is in police custody and is not viewed as a threat to the community, according to a press statement by the Beaverton Police Department.

The shooting occurred shortly after 7 a.m. yesterday at Parkbrook Manor Apartments in the 10900 block of Southwest 5th Street.

Responding to a report of a disturbance, on arrival at the scene, police and medical workers found the 20-year-old deceased victim and Rivera-Brito, who was taken into custody.

According to the police, the victim and the suspect knew one another. No additional information was provided.
