Convicted Felon Arrested for Klamath Falls Shooting That Left 19-Year-Old Hospitalized
KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — Responding to a report of a shooting in the 1700 block of Gary Street in Klamath Falls early Thursday morning, Klamath County Sheriff’s Office deputies found 19-year-old Kane L. Harrell of Klamath Falls with gunshot wounds and, after investigation, arrested 34-year-old Taylor Reed Jackson of Klamath Falls in connection with the shooting.
After the incident at about 4:03 AM on June 5, Klamath County Sheriff’s Office deputies arranged for Harrell to be taken to a local medical facility for treatment. After identifying Jackson as a suspect, he was taken into custody.
Harrell’s condition is not being released at this time. Jackson, who was sentenced to 70 months in the Oregon DOC in 2021 for opening fire on his girlfriend’s vehicle in 2020, was lodged at the Klamath County Jail and is facing charges of Attempted Murder, Assault I, Assault II, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
