Southern Oregon Heat Advisory Begins Tomorrow as Rogue Valley Temperatures Could Hit 103
According to a Heat Advisory issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) in Medford, temperatures in much of Southern Oregon and Northern California may soar, reaching 103 degrees across the Rogue Valley early this week.
The NWS warned residents in an advisory in effect from 11 a.m. Monday through 11 p.m. Tuesday, potentially dangerous temperatures beginning Monday will likely continue through Tuesday night.

Daytime temperatures are forecast to range from 95 to 103 degrees, while overnight temperatures will remain unusually warm, providing limited relief from the heat.
The advisory covers valleys and low-lying areas west of the Cascade Range. Affected locations include communities in:
- The Rogue Valley,
- Umpqua,
- Illinois,
- Shasta,
- Scott Valley,
- Klamath River valley
- Portions of the western Cascade foothills, eastern Curry County, and areas south of Mount Shasta.
The National Weather Service warned that extreme heat increases the risk of exhaustion and stroke- especially for seniors, young children, and outdoor workers.
