Oregon State Police Operation Targets Portland Drug Dealers in Coordinated Sweep

Five people were arrested on Friday evening as Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers collaborating with local law enforcement agencies undertook a targeted mission in downtown Portland aimed at disrupting illegal drug activity.

 

OSP Illegal Drug Disruption Mission Nets 5 Dealers

During the three-hour operation, OSP’s Drug Enforcement Section and Mobile Response Teams with the Clackamas County Interagency Task Force (CCITF) and Linn County Interagency Narcotics Enforcement Team (LINE) focused on street-level dealers in Portland’s Old Town neighborhood during their mission on Friday.

Police seized 60.3 grams of methamphetamine, 11.7 grams of fentanyl, 25 grams of Xanax pills, and a privately made firearm (aka a ghost gun). They made five arrests on charges related to distributing and possessing controlled substances and firearms-related offenses.

All 5  people arrested were charged with Distribution of a controlled substance, including 60-year-old Michael Yarborough and 51-year-old Lawrence White. 54-year-old Lawrence Serban is also charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of fentanyl.

Aside from Distribution of a controlled substance, 50-year-old Willie Waller is charged with possession of methamphetamine, and possession of a Schedule II substance, while 24-year-old Candrew Post has additional charges of felon in possession of a firearm and unlawful possession of a firearm. The pair were both lodged at the Multnomah County Detention Center.
