JACKSON COUNTY, Ore. — A 28-year-old man from Bandon was arrested by deputies from Jackson County Sheriff’s Office after an act of road rage in which he yelled at a female motorist and fired gunshots towards her and into the ground.
Frank Pennisi was arrested in a traffic stop on April 30 and has been charged with menacing, the unlawful use of a weapon, and reckless endangerment.
The Emergency Communications of Southern Oregon (ECSO) 911 dispatch received a call at 8.44 p.m. about a man who had confronted a female driver on Gold Ray Road.

In a separate incident, deputies were involved in a high-speed car chase with a suspect who fled toward Gold Hill.
Although the truck was successfully disabled with spike strips, it continued on the I-5 on its rims before coming to a halt. The driver fled on foot but was soon overtaken and arrested by law enforcement.
