Sutherlin Police Search for Two Men Who Posed as Officers to Rob the Offyce Bar Early Sunday Morning

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. — Sutherlin Police are hunting for two suspects who posed as law enforcement officers to rob the Offyce Bar at 208 W. Central Avenue during the early morning on Sunday.

Tidings Context
In Oregon, using a uniform or fake police ID to make someone believe you are an officer and doing an act in that role is criminal impersonation of a peace officer, a Class C felony.

The robbers, posing as police officers to gain entry to the premises, wore masks. They are described as two huskily built males between 5’7” and 6’.

After grabbing cash, the suspects fled on foot and were later picked up by a vehicle last seen traveling southbound on Interstate 5.

Tidings Insight
If you saw anything, details matter: masks, clothing, exact time, where the pickup vehicle waited, and the direction on I 5 can help police match other cases.

No weapons were involved, and the employee on duty was unharmed.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Sutherlin Police Department at 541-459-2211.
