Southern Oregon Starbucks Locations Among Hundreds Closing as Coffee Giant Restructures

Starbucks announced that it is shutting down hundreds of stores and cutting more jobs as part of a restructuring plan, which includes several Starbucks stores in Southern Oregon.

About 1% of Starbucks’ North American locations, including approximately 400 stores, will close this month as the restructuring plan, which aims to revive the struggling business, takes effect.

By the end of September, there will still be approximately 18,300 of the existing 18,700 Starbucks stores across North America.

Southern Oregon Starbucks stores set to close include:

  • Ashland: 512 Walker Ave
  • Grants Pass: 120 NE Hillcrest Drive
  • Medford: 1730 Delta Waters Road
  • Medford: 2372 W. Main Street

In addition, Starbucks announced further corporate layoffs of approximately 900 employees, over and above the approximately 1,000 February job cuts. The coffee brand stated that the restructuring will cost roughly $1 billion.
