The Money Will Fund Addiction Treatment and Recovery Programs
The money will be paid over nine years and will fund addiction treatment and recovery programs across the state.
Rayfield states that while the parties have agreed to the total dollar settlement, negotiations are ongoing regarding injunction relief concerning the conduct changes that will govern how Albertsons operates its pharmacies in the future.
A total of $655 million will be channeled into an abatement fund, from which states and local governments can obtain funds for opioid recovery efforts.
