Medford SWAT Scene Ends With Arrests After Shots Fired on South Holly Street

MEDFORD, Ore. — Medford Police responding to reports of multiple shots fired in the 300-Block of S Holly Street on Sunday made arrests after encountering a chaotic scene where several people with violent criminal histories were present.

 

Arrests Made At Chaotic Medford SWAT Scene

On arrival, officers found a chaotic scene with many people both inside and outside the residence. Some had violent criminal histories.

Investigation revealed that three had been involved in a physical altercation outside the residence and, as they were separating, one of them produced a handgun and fired several rounds. He then retreated into the home.

Spent shell casings were recovered in the roadway. During the later execution of a search warrant, officers found the handgun used in the incident discarded in the backyard, along with other firearms.

Officers detained several people outside the residence, but many suspects stayed inside and refused repeated lawful commands to come out. The MPD SWAT team took command of the scene and, once the scene was contained, occupants were again warned to exit.

The people inside eventually complied and were arrested without further incident. 45-year-old Enrique Delgadillo IV was lodged at the Jackson County Jail on multiple charges, including Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Domestic Violence Menacing, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and additional related offenses.
