Klamath Falls Man Pleads Guilty After Investigators Find More Than 200 Homemade Explosive Devices
KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — Klamath Falls, Oregon, man, 52-year-old Jason Edward Lowery- found with over 200 homemade explosive devices in January 2025- pleaded guilty on Monday for illegally distributing explosive devices.

Court documents indicate that, in June 2025, Lowery sold multiple illegal M-type explosive devices from his home and business in Klamath Falls.
While executing a search warrant, investigators seized over 200 homemade explosive devices and materials for constructing more explosives.
Police also seized a destructive device with a large amount of explosive powder and nails strapped to it, as well as firearms and methamphetamine. Lowery’s phone texts showed he was selling devices to multiple individuals.
U.S. Attorney Scott E. Bradford for the District of Oregon announced yesterday that Lowery pleaded guilty to distribution of explosives by a non-licensee, after a Medford federal grand jury returned a two-count indictment charging Lowery with distribution of explosives by a non-licensee and manufacture of explosives by a non-licensee on July 17, 2025.

Lowery faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison, a $250,000 fine, and three years of supervised release.
Sentencing is on October 8 before a U.S. district court judge. As part of the plea agreement, he also agreed to forfeit criminally-derived proceeds and property used to facilitate his crimes identified by the government before sentencing.
