Former Homes for Good Payroll Specialist Arrested for Embezzling $560,000 from Lane County Housing Authority

LANE COUNTY, Ore. — A former Homes for Good HR and payroll specialist for Lane County’s housing authority, Miranda Renee Wilcox (59), has been arrested in connection with an alleged embezzlement scheme involving $560,000.

Wilcox was arrested by the Eugene Police Department on Wednesday after the agency contacted them last September about financial inconsistencies allegedly involving Wilcox, who worked at Homes for Good for nearly a decade.

Homes for Good provides a range of services for low-income renters, such as housing vouchers, and is involved with developing affordable housing.

According to the Eugene Police Department’s Facebook page, Wilcox is facing 113 counts of computer crime, 16 counts of identity theft, six counts of aggravated theft, and one count of forgery.
