Oregon City Man and Teen Son Arrested After Girlfriend’s Body Found in Mount Hood National Park
The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office has successfully located a 17-year-old and recovered a vehicle of interest in an investigation into the murder of Jennifer Ruth Stuart (38) on September 1, 2025.
Oregon City Man Suspected of Killing His Girlfriend During an Argument
William Glen Blake (56), of Oregon City, was arrested by CCSO detectives and the Oregon City Police Department on Thursday for the murder of his girlfriend following an argument at their home in the 600 block of Hilltop Lane, Oregon City, on August 15.
Blake is lodged in the Clackamas County Jail and has been charged with second-degree murder, second-degree abuse of a corpse, unlawful use of a weapon, and tampering with evidence.
Blake’s 15-year-old son was also arrested by detectives and transported to the Clackamas County Juvenile Intake and Assessment Center. The teenager’s arrest was made in connection with his role in moving the remains of his father’s deceased girlfriend. He is facing a charge of second-degree abuse of a corpse and tampering with physical evidence.
The Remains of Jennifer Ruth Stuart Were Found in the Mount Hood National Park
Stuart’s remains were found on September 1 in the Mount Hood National Park off Forest Service Road 45 near South Hillockburn Road in unincorporated Clackamas County, Southeast of Estacada.
CCSO deputies, detectives, and crime scene investigators arrived on the scene to gather evidence. Stuart’s death was ruled a homicide after an autopsy by the Medical Examiner’s Office.
Yesterday, following a public appeal, CCSO located Blake’s 17-year-old son, Austin Michael Blake, who was interviewed about the homicide. They also located the vehicle of interest, a 2002 red and gray Chevy Avalanche.
Clackamas County detectives are following up leads and urge anyone with information to contact them. The detectives would also like to interview anyone who had contact with Jennifer Ruth Stuart or anyone who may have seen her in the Estacada area.
The CCSO is also appealing to neighbors along South Hillockburn Road, southeast of Estacada, and to anyone with trail cameras in the area to review their August footage for any unusual activity.
