Developer Addysen Park LLC’s Terry Buntin is donating parkland between Dakota and Stewart avenues within a 487-unit subdivision to the Medford Parks and Recreation Foundation, where the neighborhood park will be built.

The initial amenities include a playground, picnic shelter, restroom, dog park, safety lighting, and a basketball court, which are scheduled for completion by June 30, 2027.
Pending funding, a lighted walking path, multi-purpose grass field, splash pad, and two pickleball courts may be included in later phases. This will help the City meet open space requirements in an urbanizing area.
Once the City accepts the park, it will purchase the property from the Foundation for 5% of the appraised land value, excluding improvements, estimated at $55,000.
The Foundation will also contribute $33,000 toward widening Dakota Avenue to add 19 on-street parking spaces adjacent to the park.
Through an escrow account, the City will reimburse $749,999 to Buntin for labor and materials.
