Sequence of Dramatic Events Ends With Arrest of Eugene Man After Rear-Ending Girlfriend’s Car
EUGENE, Ore. — After rear-ending his girlfriend’s vehicle and chasing her onto Willamette Street, Adam Cole Young (35) was arrested by officers from the Eugene Police Department after a sequence of dramatic events.
After the incident with his girlfriend, who was not injured and chose not to press charges, officers from the EPD intervened. Young fled the scene and was tracked down by the police to a home on West 37th Avenue where he was apprehended.
The EPD obtained a search warrant for Young’s bedroom and vehicle. During the search, they found 62 grams of methamphetamine, stolen equipment from a college athletics team, a stolen rifle, and two loaded handguns.
Young was booked into the Lane County Jail, where he faces charges for violating parole and for possessing methamphetamine and stolen firearms.
