Assisted by the Special Emergency Reaction Team (SERT), the Crisis Negotiation Team (CNT), K9 Unit, Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS or drone) Unit, and the North & Central Neighborhood Response Teams, NRT executed a search warrant in the 2200 block of Northeast 102nd Avenue that had been a significant source of disruption and complaints in the neighborhood, and was the source of a high volume of police calls over the past year.

The homeowner was facing medical challenges and was no longer living at the location, which had been taken over by several squatters involved in criminal activity, including a drug dealer and a person posing as a landlord who was illegally charging people to live on the property.

During the execution of the search warrant, thirteen people were contacted, and 9 were arrested on various charges and outstanding warrants.
