Oregon Man Crashes Into Patrol Car With Car Full of Fentanyl, Meth and Guns, Then Gets Nearly 14 Years in Federal Prison
A Douglas County man, 51-year-old Glenn Allen Gearhart, is facing nearly 14 years in federal prison- plus 5 years of supervised release- on charges relating to fentanyl and methamphetamine distribution and illegal possession of firearms.
Douglas County Fentanyl & Meth Dealer Sentenced To Federal Prison Term
In a case investigated by the Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team (DINT) and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), court records indicate that in October 2024, Gearhart crashed into a patrol car while fleeing from deputies.
Gearhart had over $5,000 in cash, fentanyl, and a round of ammunition on him, and a stolen pistol, an AR-style rifle, a short-barrel shotgun, another shotgun, and two ammunition cans full of ammunition in his vehicle. On October 18, 2024, DINT detectives executing a search warrant on Gearhart’s residence found evidence of drug dealing.
Gearhart was charged on June 13, 2025, and, on August 5, 2025, pleaded guilty to:
- Possession and intent to distribute- 400g or more of a mixture or substance containing fentanyl
- Possession and intent to distribute 500g or more of a substance containing a detectable amount of methamphetamine
- Possession of a firearm by a felon.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office confirmed that Gearhart was sentenced to 168 months in federal prison, plus five years of supervised release.
