Mt. Ashland Opens Tomorrow With Limited Terrain as Snowfall Hits 70% Below Average
ASHLAND, Ore. — Despite 70% below-average snowfall, Mt. Ashland is gearing up to open on December 29, but with limited terrain.
Conditions are early season, with thin, limited cover, and any activity off the groomed piste is for experts only for now. The team is working towards a smaller terrain park build on Lupine to kick off the season. Details of this season on Mt. Ashland:
- Sonnet and Lithia Chairlifts and First Act Learning Carpet: Open 9:00 am – 4:00 pm from Monday
- Sonnet: Open for beginner and novice skiers and snowboarders
- Poma and Lupine will be open for EXPERT skiers and riders only
- Bumblebee: To remain closed for a Grand Opening at a later date
- Blossom: Will still be determined
- All Lift Tickets will be $18 for a limited time.
- Comer, Windsor, and Ariel Chairlifts and all terrain coming off of those lifts will be CLOSED until enough snow falls.
- Mt. Ashland Business Office will be open today from 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm, and season passes can be picked up at the Ticket Desk in the Karen & Sid DeBoer Lodge after that.
All core services will be available on Opening Day in varying capacities: lessons, rentals, and the retail shop will be fully open, while the T-Bar Lounge and Gemütlichkeit Grill will operate with limited menus.
