Klamath Falls Man With Felony Warrant Arrested After Backyard Shooting Spree

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — A Klamath Falls man, who has an active felony warrant and is prohibited from possessing firearms, has been arrested following a shooting incident in the 1500 block of Derby Street on Monday.

Klamath Falls County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report at 11.30 a.m. and, on arrival at a residence in the 1500 block of Summers Lane, learned that Germy George Byzewski (32) was allegedly firing a handgun at nearby properties from his backyard.

In a coordinated operation with the KFCSO Special Response Team (SRT), Byzewski was taken into custody without incident.

He was lodged at the Klamath County Jail, facing charges of being a felon in possession of a weapon, the unlawful use of a weapon, menacing, contempt of court, and a parole violation.
