Jackson County Warns Residents of Phishing Scam Masquerading as Jackson Alerts

JACKSON COUNTY, Ore. — Jackson County’s Emergency Management has warned that a phishing email scam is doing the rounds pretending to be from “Jackson Alerts,” but it is not from them.

Scammers are attempting to impersonate Emergency Management using the sender name “Jackson Alerts” in emails that falsely claim that your Jackson Alerts account will be deleted within 48 hours unless you click a link within the email to confirm.

If you receive this or other suspicious emails:

  • DO mark it as “Phishing” in your inbox
  • DO NOT respond
  • Do NOT click on any suspicious links or attachments.
  • DO NOT ever share personal or financial information unless you can confirm the request is legitimate.
  • DO verify authenticity by contacting the agency directly using official phone numbers or websites, NOT the contact details in the suspicious message.
