Intruder Dies After Confrontation With Oregon Homeowner During Attempted Break-In
Bend Police detectives are investigating the death of an intruder following a confrontation with the resident during an attempted break-in at a property on NW Braid Drive.
The incident occurred shortly before midnight last Thursday. When police responded to the scene on the 3500 block, they were informed that the resident had confronted the intruder, and a struggle ensued. The intruder then fled the scene on foot.

The resident was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at a hospital, but the intruder suffered severe injuries and succumbed.
He was found by the police at a nearby golf course, where emergency medical care was provided but failed to save his life.
