Gresham Brothers Accused of Using Man’s Own Gun to Kill Him in Gas Station Fight Caught on Surveillance Video

GRESHAM, Ore. — Surveillance footage of a fatal shooting at an Arco gas station in Gresham at 1 a.m. on Sunday has led to the arrest of two brothers who were arraigned on Monday for second-degree murder.

The East County Major Crimes Team led the investigation resulting in the arrest of Ricardo Perez-Magdaleno (27), and his brother,  Alejandro Perez-Magadaleno (23), for the murder of LaQuincy Fletcher (48).

Court documents reveal that officers from the Gresham Police Department responded to a call about a shooting at the gas station at 57 West Powell Boulevard.

On their arrival, officers found Fletcher lying dead on the ground with what appeared to be a single bullet wound to the head. The suspects had fled the scene.

Surveillance footage from the gas station shows the arrival of a Hyundai SUV occupied by two men and a woman. Ricardo Perez-Magdaleno is then seen falling to the ground in an apparent state of intoxication and attempting to urinate on a gas pump.

According to court documents, Fletcher is then seen arriving at the gas station in a blue SUV. After observing the situation, Fletcher appears to converse with the intoxicated man, and a physical fight between the two develops.

Ricardo’s brother, Alejandro, then joins the fight, and Fletcher is punched by both men before he manages to open his car door and grab a gun, which is immediately wrestled from him by the brothers.

Finally, the video shows Ricardo putting Fletcher in a choke hold before brother Alejandro shoots him in the head.
