Grants Pass Poacher Wanted After Buck Shot and Abandoned Near NW Vine Street

GRANTS PASS, Ore. — Oregon State Police are searching for the person or persons who shot a buck deer and left it to die in Grants Pass on July 21.

The police from the Oregon Fish and Wildlife Division are appealing to the public who have information about the incident to contact them asap.

A buck deer was fatally shot on private land located on NW Vine Street near NW Highland Avenue. The property owner reported hearing a gunshot on the evening of July 21 and the animal’s body was discovered there two days later.

Authorities are appealing to the public for any information that could assist in identifying and arresting those responsible for the unlawful shooting and waste of the deer. They are looking for a description of the vehicle involved, and the names or descriptions of the suspects.
