Grants Pass Fentanyl Dealer Caught After Dropping Meth in Walmart Dressing Room

GRANTS PASS, Ore. — An investigation by members of the Rogue Area Drug Enforcement (RADE) team of a person believed to be selling fentanyl in Grants Pass culminated in arrests after 40-year-old Bryan Beaman dropped a bag of methamphetamine in a Walmart dressing room after a previous interaction with RADE officers.

The Grants Pass Police Department indicated that Beauman was stopped in his vehicle by the Oregon State Police near the Robertson Bridge in Josephine County on Thursday, June 5, as part of the investigation. 96.5 grams of fentanyl, four firearms (1 reported stolen), and an explosive device were found after a consent search.

Beaman was arrested and lodged in the Josephine County Jail on charges of:

  • Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance – Fentanyl,
  • Felon in Possession of a Firearm x 4, and Unlawful Possession of an Explosive Device.

 

Felon in Possession of a Firearm charges are also pending against Beaman’s passengers, 32-year-old Joshua Hamner and 52-year-old Bumpus McPhumpus Angeledes.

The Rogue Area Drug Enforcement (RADE) team then assisted Grants Pass Police on Thursday, June 19, with another call regarding Beuman at Walmart in Grants Pass after he went into the store and dropped a bag of methamphetamine in the dressing room. An alert Walmart employee immediately reported the incident to the police.

Beaman was arrested again, and RADE executed a search warrant on Beaman’s vehicle, uncovering 327.1 grams of fentanyl and approximately $14,150 in cash. Beaman was again lodged at the Josephine County Jail and faces charges of Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance – Fentanyl, as well as Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance – Fentanyl.
