Grants Pass Area Home Becomes Scene of Murder-Suicide That Killed Family of Five
GRANTS PASS, Ore. — Josephine County Sheriff’s deputies responding to a request to check the welfare of the residents at a home in the 200 block of Hussey Lane, in the Picket Creek area, on Monday morning, discovered five bodies with gunshot wounds.
After it was reported an adult female at the residence had uncharacteristically not shown up for work on Monday, police attending to the welfare check at 9:37 a.m., found 42-year-old Hannah Marie Behee (42), eleven and nine-year old boys, and a 7 year old girl dead, along with 40-year-old Chad Scott Behee who is believed to be the suspect in the murder-suicide incident.
Josephine County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) Deputies and Oregon State Police (OSP) responding to the address observed suspicious conditions around the premises before entering to find the brutal crime scene.
OSP is leading the investigation with the assistance of the Grants Pass Police Department at the request of JCSO.
