Former Daimler Supervisor in Oregon Accused of Embezzling $3.8M, Spending It on Europe Trips and Uber Eats

A former fleet supervisor at Daimler Truck North America’s Portland headquarters is accused of embezzling nearly $3.8 million to finance a lavish lifestyle, including numerous holidays to Europe.

A lawsuit filed by the company alleges that Terry Watson embezzled the cash over five years by falsifying billing records and using company credit cards for personal expenses.

His Wife Is Also Sued For Using Company Credit Cards to Finance Personal Expenses

Daimler Truck is also suing Watson’s wife, Krystal, who allegedly used company credit cards for her personal expenses. The company alleges that she was aware of her husband’s fraud scheme.

The lawsuit claims that Watson used the money to finance vacation trips to Europe, dozens of Uber Eats deliveries, landscaping at his Hillsboro home, and to pay for gas.

According to the lawsuit, Terry Watson worked for the company from 2016 until last November, when Daimler discovered suspicious activity on its financial accounts.

The lawsuit also alleges that Watson billed the company for payments to real estate companies, legal firms, sports clubs, spas, and housecleaning.

Daimler is seeking $6.6 million in damages, plus legal fees.

No criminal charges related to the alleged fraud against the Watsons can be found on record.
