Evacuation Alert Eases Near Ashland as Neil Creek Fire Slows Down

ASHLAND, Ore. — The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) indicated yesterday that the evacuation alert in Zone JAC-536 in the area of the Neil Creek Fire burning in Ashland has been downgraded to Level 1. All other zones remain on level 2.

Due to successful firefighting efforts, the evacuation alerts for the Neil Creek fire Forces near the I-5 are now:

Zone JAC-536 (south of Ashland): Downgraded from Level 2 to Level 1 – Be Ready to evacuate.
Zones JAC-542, JAC-543, JAC-546, JAC-558, JAC-559 remain at Level 2 – Be Set to evacuate.

JCSO warned that caution should still be exercised across all the zones as conditions can change rapidly, and alerts will be adjusted from time to time.
