Electrical Fire Erupts at Dentist’s Office in Roseburg, Leaving Building Damaged
ROSEBURG, Ore. — Responding to reports of smoke billowing from a broken window at a dentist’s office at 2510 NW Edenbower Blvd early yesterday morning, Roseburg Fire Department personnel extinguished the fire and later established that the cause was electrical.
Roseburg Investigators Say Dentist’s Office Blaze Was An Accidental Electrical Fire
Nineteen firefighters from the Roseburg Fire Department and Central Douglas Fire & Rescue, assisted by Umpqua Valley Ambulance, Avista Utilities, Pacific Power, and Roseburg Police Department, arrived to see smoke exiting the window of Suite #110 yesterday at 7.10 a.m.. Black soot was located on the exterior portion of the commercial structure.
Eden Dental currently occupies the office, but the fire department confirmed that no occupants were inside the structure at the time of the fire.
After quickly extinguishing the fire to stop it from spreading to the rest of the building, firefighters searched the structure.
The building had sustained structural, smoke, and water damage. As firefighters completed the overhaul, a fire investigator determined that the cause of the fire was accidental and of electrical origin.
