Drone and License Plate Tech Lead Eugene SWAT to Wisconsin Fugitive Lying Low in Oregon

EUGENE, Ore. — A Eugene SWAT team arrested a murder suspect from Wisconsin in a vehicle stop in the area of W 18th Avenue and Lincoln Street on Wednesday.

The local police department was asked to assist the Milwaukee police, who stated that Isaiah Terrell Taylor (34) had fled the area to elude apprehension. He was wanted on charges of murder, burglary, and battery during a home invasion on 25 April..

Detectives of the Special Investigations Unit located the suspect’s whereabouts after entering details of a vehicle believed to be associated with Taylor into the Automated License Plate Reader System (ALPRAS).

Taylor was taken into custody in a combined operation involving a drone team, detectives, patrol officers, and a SWAT team.

The Eugene Police Department is asking the public who may have information about Taylor’s activities in the area for the last fortnight to contact Detective Rick Lowe at 541-682-5573.
