Don’t Miss the 16th Annual Ashland Monster Dash on Saturday
ASHLAND, Ore. — Halloween events are in full swing, and so is Ashland’s 16th annual Monster Dash scheduled for Saturday, October 26, from 9 am to 1 pm.
The event is supported by thousands of Rogue Valley residents and raises funds for the Ashland Schools Foundation.
The Monster Dash in Lithia Park invites monsters, ghosts, ghouls, and superheroes to compete to raise funds for public education.
Residents donned in their spookiest attire can compete in the one mile, 5 km, and 10 km race. There are prizes for top finishes.
Those unable to attend the event in Lithia Park can compete virtually by running anytime between October 21 and 31 and uploading their times on the race website. Gift certificates will be awarded to top virtual runners.
Entry fees will be used ‘to help meet the needs of different students,’ says the executive director of the Ashland Schools Foundation, Erica Thompson. The money raised from the entry fees is used for specialized projects, classroom projects, and materials and supplies.
A huge drawcard is the Monster Activity Village where visitors can enjoy free family fun crafts, live music, auctions, entertainment, and exhibits.
