62-Year-Old Oregon Driver in Stolen Car Tasered After Threatening Deputies With Club
A 62-year-old man from Albany, driving a stolen vehicle, was tasered by a sheriff’s office sergeant when he threatened deputies with a club.
The drama unfolded late last Saturday night when the Lane County Sheriff’s Office received a report about a stolen vehicle being driven recklessly in Junction City.
The driver managed to elude a Benton County Sheriff’s deputy, and officers were deployed to the scene where they used spike strips to deflate the vehicle’s tires.
Chase Ends When the Driver Crashed Into a Patrol Truck
The driver, however, continued traveling on River Road before crashing into a patrol truck, finally bringing him to a stop on Kingsbury Avenue.
After using a taser to subdue him, officers arrested Brennan Floyd McAdams, who is in the Lane County Jail on multiple charges, including reckless driving and attempting to elude a police officer.
Apart from the two county sheriff’s offices, three police departments from Junction City, Eugene, and Coburg were involved in the incident.
