Easter is Sunday, and Ashland's 53rd annual egg hunt is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. near the bandshell in Lithia park.

Sponsored by the Rotary Club of Ashland since 1957, the hunt includes age-specific areas for children to hunt eggs. Age groups are: 1-2 year-olds, 3-4 year-olds, 5-6 year-olds and 7-8 year-olds.

Eggs are donated by the Ashland Safeway store and are cooked and colored by the Southern Oregon University Cascade Dining Hall staff. Chocolate eggs and other treats are included in each age group.

Children in each age group who find a golden egg will win a prize.
