Winston Man Arrested with Cocaine, Psilocybin, and MDMA in Douglas County Narcotics Bust
DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. — Detectives with the Douglas Interagency Narcotics Team (DINT) arrested a Winston man, 29-year-old Ryian Martin, on suspicion of several narcotics-related charges on Friday.
DINT detectives contacted Martin at a residence in the 100 block of SW Newton Drive in Winston, where a police search revealed about 52 grams of suspected cocaine, 74 grams of suspected psilocybin mushrooms, 5 grams of suspected MDMA, and a handgun.
DINT, bolstered by the Oregon-Idaho High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA)- a sponsored counterdrug grant program driven by the Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP), is a multi-jurisdictional narcotics task force that comprises the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, Roseburg Police Department, Oregon State Police, Douglas County District Attorney’s Office, and the Bureau of Land Management. DINT aims to identify, disrupt, and dismantle local, multi-state, and international drug trafficking organizations.
As a result of DINT’s intelligence-driven, multi-agency prosecutor-supported approach, Martin was lodged at the Douglas County Jail on charges of Unlawful Possession, Delivery, and Manufacture of Cocaine, Unlawful Possession of Schedule I Controlled Substance, and Unlawful Possession of Psilocybin.
