Teen With Loaded Handgun Arrested in Salem McDonald’s Parking Lot Shooting

SALEM, Ore. — A 17-year-old juvenile has been taken into custody in connection with the shooting at a McDonald’s eatery located at 5090 Commercial St. SE, Salem, on 30 June. He is the fourth suspect arrested by the Salem Police Department, believed to be involved in the incident.

Salem Police say the arrest was made on Friday at 10 p.m. at an apartment in the 5900 block of Park CT SE.

 

A Loaded Handgun Was Seized

A loaded handgun was seized, and the boy was transported and lodged at the Marion County Juvenile Detention Center. He has been charged with first-degree attempted assault, reckless endangerment, and the unlawful use and possession of a firearm.

Salem Police arrested two adults and one juvenile on 30 June related to a disturbance which ended with gun shots fired in the parking lot of the fast-food eatery at 10:24 p.m. Vehicles involved in the incident were attempting to flee the scene as the police arrived, but officers managed to stop one vehicle with three occupants.

A 9mm handgun was seized, and multiple spent shell casings were located at the scene and collected as evidence.

Taken into custody were Rubi Zambrano (20), Dakoda Clark-Adkins (18), and a 15-year-old male, all from Salem. Zambrano and Clark-Adkins were lodged at the Marion County Correctional Facility and were arraigned yesterday at the Marion County Court. The juvenile was released into the custody of a parent.
