Springfield Police Arrest 60-Year-Old Robbery Suspect Minutes After Wells Fargo Hold-Up
SPRINGFIELD, Ore. — A sixty-year-old man from South Carolina robbed the Wells Fargo Bank in Springfield on Thursday morning, threatening cashiers with a concealed weapon.
Andrew Boaden McKissack was arrested shortly after the 11.30 a.m. ‘hold-up’ when his description – a thin white male wearing a green shirt and white hat – gave him away to officers from the Springfield Police Department.
Staff at the Centennial Boulevard bank branch told the police that they handed over cash when the robber claimed he had a weapon, although it was concealed from view.
McKissack is in custody at the Lane County Jail.
