Police Seek Grants Pass Suspect Accused of Breaking Into Local Businesses During Months-Long Spree
GRANTS PASS, Ore. — The Grants Pass Police Department is looking for 33-year-old Anthony Boyd Mooney of Grants Pass, who was indicted on charges related to a spree of commercial burglaries between September 2024 and January 2025 in the city.
According to a months-long police investigation, Mooney was identified during a series of commercial burglaries.
The businesses were burglarized, items valued between $100 and $1000 were taken, and property was intentionally damaged. Up to over $1000 of damages was caused in some of the businesses which were targeted, which included:
- Batteries Plus Bulb
- Bi Mart (Victimized twice)
- Cash Connection (Victimized twice)
- Don’s Bike Center
- Farmers Building Supply
- Fields Home Improvement (in Josephine County)
- Highland Market
- Lucky Duck on Redwood Ave.
- M Street Market
- Rogue Fly Shop
After hearing testimony, a Grand Jury panel indicted Mooney on 12 counts of Burglary in the Second Degree, five counts of Theft in the First Degree, 11 counts of Criminal Mischief in the First Degree, and seven counts of Theft in the Second Degree.
