Medford Woman Killed Near Railroad Tracks as 19-Year-Old Suspect Is Arrested
MEDFORD, Ore. — A 19-year-old has been arrested following the death of a woman in an attack near the railroad tracks in Medford on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the police, the victim was known to the suspect, but their relationship has not been established.
The police found 43-year-old Nicole Marie Dominguez suffering from severe head injuries when they arrived on the scene in the area of West Jackson Street and Welch Street.
The Woman was Pronounced Dead at the Scene
Emergency medical personnel immediately applied life-saving efforts, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witness statements and surveillance video footage led the police to locate Darius McCree-Santangelo about 20 minutes after receiving the first report of the assault.
McCree-Santangelo was walking near West McAndrews Road and Summit Avenue when he was taken into custody.
