Medford Teen Used Instagram and Snapchat to Sell Drugs to Kids as Young as 11, Police Say

JACKSON COUNTY, Ore. — 19-year-old  Jake Eugene Cunningham of Medford was arrested on May 31 for selling marijuana to middle school children as young as 11 years old after setting up drug deals on Instagram and Snapchat.

On May 31 at 3:11 p.m., Illegal Marijuana Enforcement Team (IMET) detectives observed Cunningham selling marijuana to juveniles in the Rogue Valley Mall parking lot.

Their investigation revealed that Cunningham was selling cannabis and black market “Dab” vape pens to juveniles after setting the deals up on Instagram and Snapchat.

Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) deputies arrested Cunningham, who is charged with one count each of unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful delivery of marijuana.
