Man Killed in North Portland Gas Station Shooting — Second Homicide Reported Sunday

PORTLAND, Ore. — A victim has died in another fatal shooting incident in Portland on Sunday.

The incident occurred at a gas station in the 9900 block of North Whitaker Road in North Portland.

The other fatal shooting, also on Sunday, took place at a downtown parking lot, as reported by Daily Tidings yesterday.

Officers from the North Precinct found a male victim, who died on the scene despite medical assistance from paramedics.

Portland Police Bureau’s Homicide Division detectives are investigating and closed the perimeters of the area to traffic while undertaking a search of the location.

The identity of the victim will be released following an examination by the Medical Examiner, and once the victim’s next-of-kin have been notified.
