Man Clings to Life After Early Morning Shooting in Southeast Portland Neighborhood

PORTLAND, Ore. — Homicide detectives from the Portland Police Bureau are investigating a shooting early yesterday morning in the Creston-Kenilworth Neighborhood.

East Precinct officers responded to a report at 5.36 a.m. of a shooting in the 5800 block of Southeast Foster Road. On arrival, the officers found a male adult seated in a vehicle suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital by ambulance.

The suspect(s) had fled the scene by the time the police arrived, and the Detective Division Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation because of the seriousness of the victim’s injuries.
