Klamath Falls Burglar Targeted Five Businesses and a Cemetery Before Arrest
KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — Thanks to local Klamath Falls businesses that provided law enforcement officers with security footage and information, the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office was able to solve a spate of burglaries and recover stolen property.
Five Businesses and a Cemetery Were Burglarized
Five local businesses and a cemetery, all located on South Sixth Street and Hilyard Avenue, were burglarized on Sunday, October 19, 2025, and KCSO soon established that the crimes were connected.
Burglarized were ATR Towing and Recovery, But Make It Dirty Soda Bar, Casey’s Restaurant, Le Bella Boutique Salon, Klamath County Fairgrounds, and the Eternal Hills Memorial Gardens, where significant damage was discovered to memorials in the grounds.
The damages and stolen property amounted to more than $29,000.
Security Footage was Vital to the Case
Acting quickly, deputies reviewed security footage from the night of the burglaries, which showed a black Ford Crown Victoria at 11 p.m.
The vehicle had distinctive silver rims and had previously been connected to a separate fuel theft case, in which the driver was identified as Anthony James Hird (29) of Klamath Falls.
In the prior encounter, deputies had spotted an orange and black WEN 4800 generator on the back seat of the vehicle, which later matched a description of property stolen from But Make It Dirty Soda Bar.
Deputies began searching for Hird and the vehicle, which was soon recovered in Klamath Falls and towed to a secure KCSO facility.
A search warrant was served three days after the burglaries, and deputies seized the generator, as well as items of clothing seen in the surveillance footage.
Anthony James Hird was arrested last Friday, following a short chase on foot at the Campus Green Mobile Park on Highway 97. Deputies found him hiding behind a bush in the grounds of the mobile home park.
This is an ongoing investigation, and anyone with information should contact Deputy Cooper Roberts at 541-883-5130 ext. 8118, or email [email protected].
