Home Invasion in Keizer Leads to Attempted Murder Charges Against Three Young Eugene Suspects

LANE COUNTY, Ore. — Two young men and a teenage female have been arrested by Keizer Police Department detectives after a targeted home-invasion attack and robbery in the area of McGee Court NE on October 24.

All Three are Charged With Attempted Murder

All three have been charged with attempted murder, first-degree robbery, the unlawful use of a weapon, and menacing. Additionally, the female has also been charged with first-degree assault.

Tidings Insight
Attempted murder is charged when prosecutors allege intent to kill, even if the victim survives. It is not the same as a murder charge.

The three suspects, all residents of Eugene, are Daniel Tejerina (20), Romeo Luna (20), and Franki Salyers-Livingston (19). They are lodged in the Marion County Correctional Facility.

Their arrest on December 12 followed an exhaustive investigation that involved several other law enforcement agencies.

On the night of the home invasion, a bleeding 20-year-old Landon Ostrom ran to neighbors for help after he was shot and robbed inside his apartment. He told them he was attacked by two males and a female, who were all armed with guns. They robbed him of his firearms and personal belongings, fleeing the scene before the arrival of the police.

Ostrom was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, but survived the attack.

Detectives from the Keizer Police Department served several subpoenas and search warrants while investigating, with assistance from FBI analysts and the Oregon Department of Justice.

After the arrest of the three Eugene suspects, search warrants were executed at several locations. The police seized a firearm during the operation.

This is an ongoing investigation, and anyone with information about the case or the suspects is asked to contact the Criminal Investigation Division of the Keizer Police Department.
