Grants Pass Police Arrest Woman 45 Minutes After Lunchtime Bank Robbery at People’s Bank

GRANTS PASS Ore. — A 58-year-old female was arrested less than an hour after a bank robbery at the People’s Bank in Grants Pass yesterday (Friday).

Renee Freitas was taken into custody 45 minutes after the robbery by a Grants Pass Police School Resource Officer. The arrest took place near the Grants Pass Shopping Center,

Detectives from the Grants Pass Major Crime Unit assisted in the investigation after the People’s Bank on NE 7th Street was robbed during lunchtime.

Freitas was lodged at the Josephine County Jail and charged with second-degree robbery, first-degree theft, two counts of menacing, and the unlawful use of a weapon.
