Four Suspected Drug Dealers Arrested in Portland After Bike Squad Sergeant Spots Street Deal
PORTLAND, Ore. — Four suspected drug dealers were arrested in Portland yesterday, and police took possession of dealer-level quantities of fentanyl, a replica firearm, an illegal knife, a stun gun, and drug packaging materials.
Bike Squad Sergeant Spotted a Drug Transaction
The arrests took place during proactive patrols by the Portland Central Precinct Bike Squad when a sergeant observed a suspected drug deal near the Pioneer Courthouse Square.
One arrest was made, and Michael B. Dooley was transported to the Multnomah County Detention Center, where he was charged with two counts of being a felon in possession of restricted weapons, possession, and delivery of a controlled substance.
Later last night, the PPB organized a multi-task force that resulted in the recovery of large quantities of drugs and cash, and the arrest of three more suspected drug dealers who were all found in separate locations. Their identities have not yet been released.
Officers from the Central Bike Squad were joined by the FBI, detectives from Portland’s Narcotics and Organized Crime Unit, and members of the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office.
They arrested three suspects at Southwest 12th Avenue and Southwest Harvey Milk Street, Southwest 14th Avenue and Southeast Columbia Street, and Southwest 15th Avenue and Southwest Taylor Street.
