Oregon is the 10th most expensive state in the U.S. for fast food, with affordability rankings generally aligning with the overall cost of living in the state, according to researchers.
The result was based on a study analyzing menu prices at six major takeaway chains – McDonald’s, Burger King, Chipotle, Chick-fil-A, Taco Bell, and Domino’s – to create a comprehensive affordability index, awarding each state a score out of a possible 10 points.

Oregon is the 10th least affordable state, with a score of 4.47 on the affordability scale index.
The cheapest state in the country for fast food is Mississippi, scoring 10/10, offering consistently budget-friendly takeout prices for residents. California ranks as the most expensive, with an overall score of 0.41. California scored particularly poorly for Chick-fil-A affordability, with 1.44, and Chipotle at 1.87.
These results are revealed by Chicksx.com, a crypto exchange platform, which found that the most reasonably priced fast food outlets in Oregon are Chipotle (7.15) and Taco Bell (6.65).

The most expensive fast food outlet in the Beaver state is McDonald’s, where prices were higher than average at 5.11.
