Oregon Woman Gets Seven Years for Setting Ex-Boyfriend’s Parents’ Porch on Fire
EUGENE, Ore. — A woman from Eugene will spend more than seven years in prison for setting fire to the home of a former boyfriend’s parents.
Jasmine Wright was found guilty on five counts of first-degree arson and multiple other charges for setting fire to the front porch of the Eugene home in the Crescent Meadows neighborhood in July 2024.
Security cameras from neighboring properties caught Wright on the scene where she poured flammable liquid onto the porch and set it alight. No one was injured in the incident.
Wright was sentenced to seven-and-a-half years in prison, and three years of post-prison supervision.
Wright will appear in court again on August 27, charged with stealing a debit card and spending $1,300 on show tickets. The debit card belonged to the mother of an arson witness.
